Dr. Woodroffe is the President of Congress WBN (C-WBN) and Senior Elder of Elijah Centre both headquartered in Trinidad & Tobago.

Core Values
The nature and structure of our programs assume that any course of study undertaken is merely an initial period of formal training. The principles taught and truth imparted can only be translated into spiritual ability and practical performance through ongoing review and diligent personal application. Thus our programs seek to impart and encourage an intense desire for continuous learning as the foundation of the development of right concepts and positive attitudes for accurate, successful 21 st century Kingdom lifestyles.

Pre-eminence of the Bible: We maintain that the Bible is the authoritative source of all knowledge, instruction and learning with applicability to every area of life. As such, the revealed Word of God provides the core of the material for our programmes and it is this insight that is imparted to the student. The programmes of the Institute are biblically-based and the many concepts that are addressed in our courses allow for the Word of God to be explained and examined in the practical context of the varied subject areas - be it ministry, leadership or business. The Online school therefore strongly encourages study of the Word as a core part of its learning systems.
Emphasis on Personal Application: COLI firmly believes that the purpose of all truth is to produce altered thinking, renovated mentalities, new attitudes and transformed lifestyles. Application thus becomes the focal point of all effective learning with the true value of knowledge being its ability to transform human life. As such, t he biblical truths and operational principles taught in our programmes are fully intended to translate into spiritual ability and practical performance in the lives of students . It is not intended to remain as simply stored knowledge and rational arguments inside students’ heads .
Importance of Collaborative Learning: Central to COLI’s values is the belief that neither the acquisition of knowledge nor the learning process itself is an exclusively individual activity. True learning emerges from the dynamic interaction of students and tutors. Learning is a corporate activity requiring that tutors instruct with maximum awareness and attention, and students actively listen and thoroughly process that which is imparted. We view student interaction as an equally important part of learning and the promotion of community values. Students are expected to demonstrate openness to receive from peers as well as a willingness to share their knowledge with others. COLI’s interactive sessions and discussion boards provide the formal opportunities for students to participate in this dynamic learning system.
